My long term plan was to take my time and build up a dope-ass titanium ss/29'er.
It takes a while to compile said dope ass components (via ebay) due to the surging popularity of the ss/29'er scene.
While I have been fairly successful in sniping a few obligatory parts, some have been hard to come by.
I caught the white industries ss cranks and missed the right colored sprocket.....blah, blah, blah.
But it was no big deal because I knew I had a few more weeks of downtime due to my supposedly healing arm. I figured I had time to round up the required pimp parts.
The other day I get a call and the confederate era doctor wants to do ANOTHER surgery this coming Monday.
FUCKING MONDAY.
So I made a business decision to put the bike together and at least try to ride this weekend cuz doc says multiple weeks in a cast we be required after this surgery.
So TI-t-SS is built. TI-t-SS will get on the dirt at some point this weekend. It might be a while till she gets out of the stable again.
So, meet TI-t-SS

E-Bay? Dude, why didnt you ask? I have about 40% of that shit at my house waiting to be sold at bargain prices.
seat height vs. bar height...am i seeing things? are you a knuckle dragger? can your back be that fucked up? you are going to pimp up something like that and NOT put the gold industry 9 wheels on it...i am nonplussed.
IS THAT A FUCKING COMPUTER ON THE STEM????????/NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO - FAIL!
Dat,
The bar height has been altered. I'LL take the king ss hubs over the O SO OVERRATED IND. 9'S!!!(dude, don't believe the hype)
You do have a point about comp though.
A little over 25 miles on it this weekend. Ride report to follow.
v. sweet ride. that is stanky light.
have you ridden rough stuff on that fork yet? if so, how does it handle? i have a rig w/ fox 29 front fork, and while i like it, sometimes i think having a rigid lightweight carbon fork up front would be preferable on some trails, and would be a lot of fun.
JT,
Jury still out on rigid front. It's probably the worst part of the bike right now because it kicks the shit out of me. But, I am nowhere near used to it. It is great climbing but a rooty trail hammers you pretty good. On smooth sections it is the real deal. IF, I upgrade anything, it would be a squish fork. I'm trying to figure out how a lefty would look on that bitch.
