It's been fun while it lasted.
While I have not accomplished much during these blogging adventures, I have managed to stir the pot quite a bit. The local cycling community has been exposed for what it truly is........a melting pot of ***********'s. I'll leave it blank for all the insightful type's to fill in.
My last entry was about 2 local cyclists who were killed by a drunk driver. A serious issue no doubt.
In an effort to leave the comments un-moderated, those pesky anonymous posters fired off about something that upset someone and the whole post turned into a crying game that, in my opinion, took away from the true meaning of the entry. That meaning was to expose the dangers we fellow cyclist in Mobile encounter.
I really liked the "anonymous" comments. Hell, I left comments about the assassin up because I can handle it. I took off the personal comments directed at the individuals whom I knew could not handle it.
But some of the annonymous guys can't seem to grasp the concept of the whole thing. In the end they start their usual crying and knee jerking and it just takes away from the whole experience. When you try to contact them on a personal basis to hug it out, they clam up and run for the woods.
A realistic view of their true character.
Which brings us to the quandry of do you moderate the comments or leave them un-moderated? You really can't do both and keep it real.
So what to do?
In the words of the bankrupt farmer.....sell them cows and turn in the keys.
And to all you crying posters who can't handle it..........put your man suit back on and step up for god sakes.
